MAURICIO ALEJO IN “THE LIFE OF OBJECTS” GROUP SHOW AT VOGT GALLERY

Mauricio Alejo participated in a group show at the Vogt Gallery in New York City that showcased the work of six Latin American artists working in varying mediums. Mauricio steps away from photography with his installation piece entitled “Breathing,” which is made solely out of tubes and plastic bags. “The Life of Objects” deals with environments lacking humans and any sort of human interaction allowing the inanimate objects and scenes to creative their own narrative within a space. Alejo constructs uncommon situations from common objects creating life in the lifeless.
