About the artist
Ina Schoof is a Berlin-based photographer loves natural light and shooting subjects in various locations and environments, dealing with the everchanging conditions, giving her a chance to react to situations intuitively and result in straightforward yet spontaneous feeling imagery. Literature, paintings, cinema and her own travels serve as Ina’s artistic and inspirational influences. These non-photographic sources let her expand her visual vocabulary in new and inventive ways. These can be seen, for instance, in a personal series, entitled "Verzeichnis unverstandener Woerter," named after the dictionary of misunderstood words in Milan Kundera's novel the Unbearable Lightness of Being, and in a travel series "There is always a tomorrow" named after a zen-sounding saying by a man in Indonesia who declined to check his digital camera lcd after Ina took his picture. Ina works with motion as well as photography. Her lifestyle imagery, both still and motion, has been commissioned by european and international clients including Bioerdgas, Caro-Kaffee, Coca-Cola, ENBW, Ergo, McDonalds, Total, Vailant, as well as agencies like DDB, Draftfcb, Kolle Rebbe, Ogilvy & Mather Berlin, Scholz & Friends, TBWA Berlin, Zum goldenen Hirschen (the golden deer).
